Since we got back from a vacation to Niagara Falls, most of the time has been spent fixing broken crap. :p

Just for fun, here's the list so far (possibly I'm not including a couple of other things that I forgot about :p), in no particular order.

  • Car front windshield cracked, in fact, first issue we saw when arriving from vacation (replaced)
  • Car tire slashed, complete with rim damage (there was some machined crap some asshole deposited on Park Blvd. and I didn't see it in time, so I unfortunately ran over it. That was fun. Also messed up the undertray. Repaired the tire. Trimmed the broken bits off the undertray as it's not worth replacing that.)
  • Car rear hatch lift supports not working (replaced)
  • Pepperpot cell phone -- cracked screen, swollen battery (replaced with refurb, cheaper than repair)
  • Air conditioner out (clogged drain was tripping switch, unclogged)
  • Air conditioner out... again (outside condenser disconnect melted, apparently. Fixed.)
  • Shower leaking (replaced Moen cartridge as usual)
  • Two bathroom lights not working (swapped florescent bulbs, the last two of the house I think, with 2 LED T10s)
  • Toilet handle broke (stripped plastic nut caused loose handle, replaced whole thing)
  • Eurorack synthesizer power supply blew out (it's part of a case I *was* selling. So meh.)
  • Eurorack module broke (pedal to CV module, how could this fuck up? Replacing with something from a different brand).
  • Leaking garden hose (replaced)
  • AKG headphones, cracking pads and loose exterior (replaced, kind of expected here for the age of the phones)
  • Exploding Pyrex baking dish (ah, the joy of Pyrex becoming tempered glass instead of borosilicate. Replaced with Emile ceramic dish that actually is a *lot* better)
  • Broken door bell (replaced wired model with wireless model)
  • Minor house painting (had to touch up a few patches after I ripped out a few vines that were climbing up the wall)
  • User error on garage door (didn't realize it was connected to a light switch for some reason and thought that broke when I turned it off accidentally during a brew. *D'oh*)

    To do:
  • Fix car front door handle (fell off Pepperpot car bizarrely, mechanism works, handle currently on with zip ties. Still need to figure out best approach for this)
  • Fix two significantly cracked concrete window sills (was planning to call someone this week, but due to AC probably will push to next week)
  • Fix car subwoofer (rattling, needs reconing probably, low priority before the sills and an eye appointment)
  • Replace soffit (probably next year, it's *drywall* of all things, most of it is holding up for now but there is a hole, and overall that's not a great material for extreme long term durability)

Any spare time beyond this has been spent on a large synth reorg project, brewing beer (4 batches these two months, 2 more in November), and wondering what other crap will break.
