On occasion, you observe a bird which had to have been named when the person was hopped up on goofballs or something. The bird on the right is called the red-bellied woodpecker. A close observation of these birds, of course, reveals that there is not much red on their belly. "Red capped woodpecker" would have been a much better name. But alas, someone chose the name poorly way back in the day, and here we are.
